A simple rule of thumb for what to wear? What makes you feel good will make you look good.
Look at your photo shoot as a vacation experience, something that’s not just about the end result (that amazing gallery you’re going to receive in a few days), but also about the memorable moments you’re having right now.
A place that makes you happy will produce the best photos for the session.
The more your kids are having fun, the better the photos will turn out! Candid can create magical memories- so be yourself!

I want you to feel amazing, to look amazing, and to love your photos long after the photo shoot is over. I will guide you. When you’re not sure what to do with your hands, I will totally help you. I will even tell you if you have lipstick on your teeth! I am seriously your #1 fan during your photo shoot, so trust me and relax knowing that I want you to look and feel incredible.
It's not always easy trusting the photographer- sometimes posing can be awkward and completely out of your comfort zone. I will try to make you as comfortable as possible, but sometimes the best shot is going to require going past those moments for a good shot. I'm here for you.
This should be something that you feel comfortable in.
Business Photos: Collared shirts, blouses, blazers, and sweaters in muted or tonal colors are all acceptable.
All Photos:
Saturated, solid colors in deeper tones are best. Avoid red, neon, all black or all white unless you choose to break it up with an accent color. Also avoid light blue as it tends to wash out most skin tones.
Please avoid clothing with bold or loud patterns and logos.
Please avoid short sleeves; 3/4 or full length sleeves photograph best.
There are ALWAYS exceptions to every rule. If florals are a part of your style, I will incorporate it. If you only wear black all the time - then wear black! The goal is to ensure you look great, and YOU stand out. You don't want the photos to be to busy.
